Famed Japanese restaurant Katsuya celebrated its 10th anniversary on June 15th at its original Brentwood location. Chef Katsuya Uechi put on a fantastic display and attended the event, alongside CEO of sbe Entertaiment Sam Nazarian. Singer Grace Sewell serenaded the crowd after a fantastic traditional drumming performance. The night was chronicled by some of our favorite outlets like Just Jared Jr. OK! Chef Katsuya served a variety of the restaurant’s mouthwatering signature dishes, among them the crispy rice with spicy tuna and miso-marinated black cod, as highlighted by The Daily Meal. Get First Look covered Chef Katsuya preparing a bluefin tuna dish. Dad Beets, My Sequin Life, LA Foodie and Hungry in LA sampled the anniversary platter, including the popular creamy rock shrimps and yellowtail sashimi with jalapeno. Guests sipped on an exquisite array of Beam Suntory cocktails. The night continued with music by DJ Bobby Fresh, and guests watched a Japanese cultural performance by Taiko drummers.
