The Challenge
Based on the beloved video game franchise, Prime Video was hosting an in-world experience during SXSW to celebrate the premiere of their Original Series, Fallout. Taking over the iconic Hotel San Jose, attendees were transported to the world of Filly, where they were able to test their survival skills in the post-apocalyptic wasteland from the series. As SXSW is often bustling with brand activations from the world’s most beloved companies, The Brand Agency was tasked with cutting through the noise and positioning Prime Video’s experience as the year’s most anticipated activation to visit during SXSW among press and their respective audiences.

The Brand Agency implemented our signature three-pronged event strategy, driving visibility for Prime Video’s ‘Fallout’ activation at SXSW 2024 before, during and after the festivities. We tapped press at leading outlets in the entertainment, tech, and lifestyle spaces, as well as surveyed local and national media who would be attending the festival, to conduct outreach and secure coverage that generated the headlines we aimed to achieve. Our strategy paid off in dividends and resulted in over 14 billion media impressions with coverage in Forbes, Deadline, Business Insider, Axios, Adweek, AdAge and many more.
