The challenge

Our team was tasked with building excitement and anticipation around Hulu’s “How I Met Your Father” finale. The Hulu team had planned a one of a kind exclusive screening experience in Downtown Los Angeles’ Arts District where fans could enjoy an early viewing of the much-anticipated season one finale episode inside real-world replicas of their favorite characters’ apartments. That being said, they needed to spread awareness about the activation via positive headlines in order to draw attention to the show and to secure RSVPs. The Hulu team also needed support in arming a carpet with the correct press, crews and photographers that would amplify the show’s messaging. 

Data-driven Results

Our PR efforts for Hulu’s “How I Met Your Father” consumer activation resulted in over 5 Billion media impressions.

Our team reached out to a wide range of publications in the entertainment, trade and marketing publications and secured curtain-raiser and event recap stories with ET Online, TODAY, LA Magazine, LA Confidential and the Daily Mail to name a few. On the multicultural front, we secured Telemundo, Univision, Remezcla and People en Español to name a few. 

Additionally, we also hosted personal one-on-one walkthroughs of the space for press outlets to share on their social media platforms, this included publications like E! News, Average Socialite, Secret LA, and Entertainment Tonight.
