The challenge
Prime Video was set to stand out at this year’s New York Comic Con by bringing their newest Original Series, The Peripheral, to fans on the ground. The streaming hub took NYCC goers straight to 2032 with their Forever Fab 3D Print Shop, where attendees could get a firsthand experience of the world of The Peripheral. They tapped The Brand Agency to assist with a special press preview event prior to opening, as well as generating press before, during and after the Con.
Data-driven Results
OVER 2.2 BILLION MEDIA IMPRESSIONS & $18 MILLION IN ESTIMATED MEDIA VALUE
Our team of publicists targeted national entertainment and niche genre-specific outlets to cover the news of Prime Video bringing the Forever Fab 3D Print Shop to life prior to the convention dates. Simultaneously, we reached out to our contacts, as well as outlets attending NYCC, to see if they had anyone from their team that wanted to attend our VIP press preview. We understood not everyone was able to make the dedicated event, so our team made sure to schedule one-off appointments throughout the weekend. We also hired Getty Images to come capture the talent from the show while they were at the space and gave this legs in the media via pitching.
As a result of our efforts, The Brand Agency was able to secure coverage in national entertainment news outlets such as Collider, E! News, Deadline, and OK! Magazine, as well as niche publications such as Comic Book Resources and Pop Insider. Additionally, our team secured coverage from business and marketing trades AdWeek, Muse by Clio and BizBash.
