tHe challenge

For the opening of their showroom fashion retail darling Tradesy partnered with Illma Gore to create one-of-a-kind art pieces to display in the space. The centerpiece of the collection included a $100k toilet covered in Louis Vuitton leather from Tradesy’s private collection. The Brand Agency was tasked with drawing mass media attention to Gore’s art and creating viral news stories about her work with Tradesy.

data-driven results

Tied to the opening of the space, The Brand Agency invited key editors from top tier fashion and art news outlets into the Tradesy showroom in Los Angeles so they could browse Gore’s work. During this preview, we made introductions for Gore to editors interested in covering her collection with Tradesy so they could gather quotes and insider details for their stories. For editors who were not able to physically visit the showroom, we circulated beautifully shot images of the collection, along with details and quotes from Gore, so they could cover the artwork.

The Brand Agency’s publicity efforts for Illma Gore’s collaboration with Tradesy ignited a fire with the media and caused images of Louis Vuitton toilet to go completely viral. Top tier outlets like Vogue, Forbes, and the Los Angeles Times covered the art pieces. Additionally, visibility for Gore’s pieces reached far and wide all over the world with stories running in international publications like GQ India, Business Insider UK and more.
