The NFT craze took hold of the news cycle. One of the pioneers in the scientific space, Nebula Genomics, announced their auction of Professor George Church’s full genome as the world’s first genomic NFT. They tapped The Brand Agency to help amplify their initiatives amidst a cluttered news landscape, Nebula Genomics then partnered with GRAMMY-nominated, multi-platinum selling artist Akon and his NFT platform AkoinNFT. The Brand Agency was tasked with securing press interest on behalf of Nebula Genomics’ and to ensure media hits amplified the conversation around fair and transparent ways to monetize and share health data.

For the first round of press, The Brand Agency devised a PR roadmap that highlighted Nebula Genomics as a pioneer and George Church as a leading scientist in the NFT space. This plan leveraged our relationships with international media in the science, technology, health, business and cryptocurrency spaces. After the brand partnered with Akon, The Brand Agency recalibrated the strategy and hit the ground running securing interest in the entertainment and music spaces. After the repositioning, our agency devised a second wave of press that also touched upon more traditional outlets in business, cryptocurrency and tech.
The Brand Agency’s PR efforts resulted in coverage on top tier science, technology, entertainment, and business media outlets in including Nature, Medscape, ET, The Hill and more. As a result, the campaign secured over 1,490,373,221 media impressions.
