Friendly House, a community based non-profit organization, grants women seeking recovery from alcohol and other substance abuse disorders with a supportive environment that fosters healing, personal growth, and civic responsibility. The Brand Agency was tasked with cultivating media coverage and awareness surrounding Friendly House's 31st Annual Gala which for the first time ever was held virtually due to Covid-19. With the Brand Agency’s connections and strong relations in the entertainment industry, Friendly House utilized our relationships to introduce and broaden awareness to their charitable mission. Additionally, we used our extensive network to expand their visibility in the media to continue their purpose of supporting each client in their recovery to a drug-free and purposeful life.

To distinguish Friendly House's gala as more than a non-profit organization event amongst the many virtual galas that have been taking place throughout the pandemic, The Brand Agency devised a strategy that would appeal to influencers, and media alike. In order to facilitate this narrative to members of the press, we implemented our network of media gatekeepers to effectively reach the group’s key audiences and shine a light on how the Friendly House Gala is aiding in establishing a home-like environment for women who struggle with alcohol and other drug abuse. In doing so, we were able to tell the story of how Friendly House has impacted many women’s lives, such as Lena Dunham, and continues to help effect positive change and build strong and powerful women. Our tactics not only targeted the loyal and devoted following that Friendly House has cultivated over the years  but also expanded into a newfound global audience as well.


The Brand Agency developed a strategic communications roadmap for Friendly House which proved to be an absolute success, as we were able to secure coverage from top tier media outlets on behalf of the organization and event. As a result of our efforts, The Brand Agency secured over 173,263,781 media impressions on behalf of Friendly House. Highlights included but were not limited to media placements in outlets such as The Hollywood Reporter (print and online), US Weekly, Los Angeles Magazine, and more.
